Load Sensing Proportional Directional Spool Valve

Load-sensitive proportional directional control for mobile machinery and heavy-duty hydraulic systems

Product Overview

The proportional directional spool valve incorporates load-sensitive (load-sensing) control technology that dynamically adapts flow distribution based on system load conditions. This ensures that actuator movement remains stable and predictable regardless of pressure fluctuations.

In load-sensing hydraulic systems, the valve allows the pump to supply only the pressure and flow required by the highest load, significantly improving system efficiency and thermal behavior. This control principle is especially advantageous in mobile machinery and multi-actuator hydraulic circuits.

Proportional directional spool valves are a type of directional valve. They control the direction of movement and the velocity of individual or multiple hydraulic consumers actuated simultaneously.

Control is independent of the load and continuous. It is possible to operate several actuators simultaneously and independently of each other at different speeds and pressures until the sum of the flows through all actuators reaches the maximum flow rate of the pump output.

The valve platforms follow established load sensing architectures commonly associated with HAWE and Danfoss PVG32 systems.
